Pininfarina to show three Brilliance cars at Beijing show

Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina has increased its emphasis on the burgeoning Chinese market and will play host to the unveilings of three cars it designed -- the Brilliance Junjie station wagon and JAC"s A108 and A107-- at the Beijing motor show.

The Brilliance Junjie wagon is based on the Junjie sedan, which also was designed by Pininfarina. The firm aimed to give it a sporty look, and it features a smooth beltline and roof that blends into the back. It"s expected to fill a luxury niche for Junjie.

JAC A108
The A108 and A107 are the first cars to be produced since Pininfarina and JAC, which is formally called Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co., began working together in 2005. The A108 is a sedan that looks a bit like a Dodge Neon. The A107 is its hatchback sibling.

Chery Automobile Co. also will display two Pininfarina-developed cars, the A3 Jiaoche and A3 YunDong, at the Beijing show.

Pininfarina is one of a growing number of Western companies, including powertrain-supplier BorgWarner and safety-system-provider Autoliv, which have capitalized on the emergence of the Chinese market. The outsiders bring expertise and credibility to Chinese automakers and help speed development times.

Pininfarina says about 30 percent of its design and engineering work is now done with Chinese companies.

Pininfarina has a storied 78-year-history and has worked on a number of notable cars, including -- most recently -- the Volvo C70, and Alfa Romeo"s Brera and Spider.

2010 NEW Bugatti 16 C Galibier
This past March at the Geneva Motor Show, the Swedish super car company Keonigsegg revealed the NLV Quant electric sedan. Well now it is the exotic Italian coachbuilder Bugatti’s turn, and Ettore’s original brand has done quite an impressive job on the all new Bugatti 16 C Galibier concept that was unveiled this past weekend in Molsheim. According to the automaker the upcoming super car will become "the most exclusive, elegant, and powerful four door automobile in the world."

2011 NEW Mercedes E-Class Cabrio with AMG Package

2009 Civic Sedan review
The Civic’s base price of $15,505 compares favorably with its direct competitor, the Toyota Corolla ($15,350), the outgoing Mazda 3 i Sport ($15,360), and Hyundai Elantra GLS ($14,120). Fuel economy, ever important for buyers in this segment, is a frugal 26 city, 34 highway mpg. Notably, both the Ford Focus (24/35) and Chevrolet Cobalt XFE (25/37) achieve better highway mileage. The Cobalt is tops in its class for horsepower, too, with 155. The Civic’s 1.8L engine makes 140 hp.
